June 17th JPCA Meeting
 
A meeting of the JPCA was held on june 17th at the Coventry community center. We had a great turnout of members and interested citizens.
  • A donation of approximately $18,000  was given to the JCPA on behalf of the Johnsons Pond Fireworks Association
  • It was decided that the Johnsons Pond Fireworks association would be merged into a committee of the JPCA.
  • Rick Nardella was voted in as the committe chairman.
  • The JPCA having recieved the donation, voted to host the fireworks this year.
  • The JCPA voted to commit funds to improve and enlarge the fireworks dock.

Johnson's Pond Civic Association Meeting

 

 
 
June 17th @ the Coventry Community Center 8:00P.M.
 
This Meeting is a J.P.C.A. event. You do not have to be a member to attend. We would ask all interested and eligible non-members to join at this meeting.
 
At this meeting a vote will be to taken by JPCA members to authorize the JPCA to commit funds to sponsor the Johnson's Pond fireworks on the 4th of July.

A meeting was held at the Coventry Community Center. The meeting was attended by approximately 50 people. Some talking points that were brought up at the meeting were.
  • The amount needed to be raised was estimated to be about $12,000 dollars. 
  • The Johnson's Pond Civic Association (JPCA) would be engaged at their June 17th meeting to renew their commitment to this years fire works display.
  • The donations would be made payable to the JPCA but mailed to:

  • The donations that are collected will be donated to the JPCA upon their approval at their meeting to commit to the fire works display. 
  • Volunteers were assigned specific neighborhoods to canvas for donations.
  • 300 steak fry tickets were given out to volunteers to sell, at the Sandy Bottom on June 11th. 
  • Recognition of donors would be accomplished by publishing consenting donors names in the Coventry Reminder, the JPCA newsletter and this web site.
  • A "coupon book" donated by our sponsoring buisinesses could be distributed as a bonus to donors. 
    •
